How I work

Here's exactly what happens when you work with me.

No mystery, no vague "concierge service." Three conversations, three proposals, and one trip that's genuinely yours.

01 Paris at night
Step one

We talk — free

We sit down — in person, on the phone, on Zoom, your call — and I ask a lot of questions. Not just where, but how you like to travel: slow mornings or first-in-line, big hotels or small ones, how much walking is too much walking.

This conversation costs nothing and commits you to nothing.

No charge · no commitment
02 A terrace above the Aegean
Step two

I bring you three options

Not one take-it-or-leave-it itinerary — three custom proposals, so you can see the trade-offs and choose.

Then we refine together until it's right. That's the part I actually enjoy.

03 The Adriatic coast
Step three

You pack. I handle the rest.

Flights, hotels, transfers, tours, the fine print nobody reads — all coordinated and connected. You get a custom itinerary in an app on your phone, a pre-trip Q&A so nothing's a surprise, and a 24-hour hotline if anything goes wrong while you're away.

Because things do go wrong, and that's the whole point of having me.

What it costs

Stated plainly, because you shouldn't have to ask.

The first consultation is free. Always. We'll talk about your trip and you'll know within one conversation whether I'm the right fit.

After that, my planning and consultation fee is $100 — and it covers everything above, from the first proposal to the 2 a.m. phone call from a foreign airport. Beyond that fee, I'm paid by the hotels, cruise lines and tour operators I book. You never pay more than you would booking it yourself.

Questions people actually ask

The honest answers

Why use a travel agent instead of booking online myself?

Because the internet gives you every option and no judgment. I've been to ninety countries — I can tell you not just what exists, but what's worth your time, what's overpriced, and what looks wonderful in photos and disappoints in person. And when a flight is cancelled at midnight, a website can't help you. I can.

What does a travel agent cost?

My first consultation is free. My planning fee is $100, which covers three custom proposals, the planning conversations it takes to get it right, full coordination of every booking, and 24-hour support while you're travelling. Groups and weddings are quoted separately.

Do you only book Europe and cruises?

Those are my specialties, but I've travelled to ninety countries across all seven continents and all fifty states. If it's on the map, there's a good chance I've been there or know someone who has.

Do I have to live in Lexington to work with you?

No — but most of my clients are here in Lexington and Central Kentucky, usually sent my way by someone they trust. I'm happy to meet in person if you're local, and everything works just as well over the phone if you're not.

What happens if something goes wrong while I'm away?

You call the 24-hour hotline and you get a human. Delayed flights, missed connections, a hotel that's lost your booking — I've been on the other end of all of it, and I know the steps to take. That's what you're really paying for.

Let's begin

Let's find out where you're going.

Maybe you know exactly where you want to go. Maybe you just know you're ready for something. Either way, the first conversation is free.
